HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF

BAND SIZE

CUP SIZE

The first step is to find your band size. This is the measurement around your ribcage, just below your bust. To get an accurate measurement, wrap the tape measure snugly around your body, making sure that it is parallel to the ground. This will give you the number that you need to determine your band size, which is an essential component of finding a bra that fits well and provides the support you need.
Once you have determined your band size, the next step is to find your cup size. This measurement is taken around the fullest part of your bust. Once you have this measurement, subtract your band size from it to find the difference. This difference will correspond to a letter, which is your cup size. Reference our bra size conversion chart below to see which cup size matches your number.

Can I schedule a fitting with Natori?

How should a bra fit under the arm?
The shelf life of bras are typically 6-8 months with regular wear. It is recommended having 3 bras to cycle throughout the week to help your bras last longer. We call this "Wear One, Wash One, Rest One."
If you have a gap between your bra cup and breast tissue, it means the cup size is too big. Your bra cup should contour over your bust without any gaps or spillage. You will need to change the sizing for the ideal support and comfort.
We recommend washing your bras and intimates in a lingerie wash bag with cold water. Buy a lingerie mesh wash bag for a safer wash.

Your bra should fit comfortably under your arms, without digging into your skin or causing any discomfort. If the band is too loose, it may ride up and cause chafing or irritation. If the band is too tight, it can dig into your skin and cause redness or soreness. To ensure a proper fit, the band should be snug against your ribcage and sit parallel to the ground.

Check that the band doesn't hike up or shift in place. Move your arms to see if the band moves as you move, which indicates that it's too loose. The cup should contour over your bust without gaps or spillage. If there's a gap, the cup is too big; if there's spillage, it's too small. The center point of the bra should sit flush against your body, and the underwire should lay flat without digging in.

BRA CARE TIPS

We recommend washing your bras and intimates in a lingerie mesh wash bag with cold water. This will protect your bras from getting tangled or stretched out during the washing process. The mesh bag still allows the detergent to reach your bras safely, yet keep them separate from other garments that could potentially damage the fabric.
Ideally bras should be laid flat or hung to dry. We never recommend putting your bras in the dryer.
For storage, bras should lay flat in a drawer or hung, without the cups folding into one another. Keep them stored in a drawer to protect them from dust and sunlight. Or hang them by the center gore to prevent crushing or misshaping the cups.
